About Georgia DPH Inspections
The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) oversees food service inspections through 159 county environmental health offices, all reporting into a shared statewide portal. Inspectors score each visit on a 100-point scale based on observed violations.
Scores of 90+ earn an “A,” 80-89 a “B,” 70-79 a “C,” and anything below 70 fails. Failed restaurants must correct violations and pass a follow-up inspection to remain open.
Rat Radar pulls directly from ga.healthinspections.us weekly, covering every licensed food establishment in the state. Gwinnett, Newton, and Rockdale counties publish separately on MyHealthDepartment and are integrated as they come online.
Scoring System
Each violation deducts points on a 100-point scale. A = 90+, B = 80-89, C = 70-79, U (fail) below 70. Critical violations must be corrected on the spot.
